Charles Lutwidge Dodgson who is famous for his pen name Lewis Carroll was born on 27 January 1832 was an English writer of children’s fiction. Lewis Carroll has quite the influence on literature and on people’s lives with his creative imagination.

When he was younger, he was a very shy boy. He had a difficult time mingling with the children of his own age and was often bullied. As a result, when he grew up, he spent very less time with other people but prefer to stay in his imaginative world and enjoyed sharing his stories with children.

Carroll used to tell stories to Alice Liddell, who was the daughter of Carroll’s dean at Oxford. She is the one who inspired Carroll to write Alice in Wonderland in 1865, and, after it’s literary success Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There. After that, Carroll’s stories have continued to fascinate children and adults for over a century.
